Rogaine 5US$45.95 for 60 ml
Proven hair loss treatment.Rogaine is the first available medication proven effective to treat hair loss. It contains minoxidil and is the only product medically proven to treat hereditary hair loss. Rogaine solution is applied topically to the scalp twice daily. It can also slow hair loss in balding men. Rogaine is also known as Regaine in some countries. In consumer surveys of over 7,000 men, 80% said they noticed a difference. Furthermore, after 12 months of continuous use, 40% showed regrowth. How Rogaine Works Rogaine works in part by partially enlarging miniaturised follicles and reversing the miniaturisation process. This prolongs the hair's growth phase, allowing the hair to become longer and thicker. Although the growth phase may be prolonged, the follicle will continue to cycle. Several cycles may be necessary before maximum potential hair regrowth can be achieved. While clinical trials have proven Rogaine can assist in hair regrowth for men and women, thicken existing hair, reduce hair loss, and stimulate new hair growth, individual results can be affected by several factors:
Is Rogaine Right for you? Extensive studies show Rogaine effectively stops hereditary hair loss. But Rogaine is not suitable for everyone - find out if Rogaine is right for you...
Results of Clinical Trials of Rogaine Male Studies Clinical studies were conducted by dermatologists at 27 US medical centres involving over 2,300 patients with male pattern baldness on the top (vertex) of the head. At the end of 4 months, hair counts showed that, on average, patients using Rogaine had significantly more hair regrowth than those who used a placebo (a similar solution without minoxidil, the active ingredient in Rogaine). Based on patients' self-evaluations after 4 months, 26% of patients using Rogaine had moderate to dense regrowth, compared with 11% of those on placebo. By the end of year 1, almost half (48%) of men who continued to use Rogaine rated their hair growth as moderate to dense. An additional 36% had minimal regrowth; others (16%) had no regrowth. Female Studies In clinical tests conducted by dermatologists in 11 US medical centres, Rogaine was significantly more effective than placebo in regrowing non-vellus hair in women with androgenic alopecia. Effectiveness was measured by physician and patient evaluation, and by non-vellus hair counts. Almost 2 out of 3 women in the Rogaine group showed regrowth: 13% had moderate regrowth and 50% had minimal regrowth. The rest (37%) had no regrowth. Thirty-nine percent of women in the placebo group also saw some regrowth. However, at 8 months of treatment, the Rogaine averaged more than twice the regrowth (22.7 more hairs per 1cm square) versus placebo group (11 more hairs). Click here for our Rogaine Data Sheet.
